20% Reservation for Agniveers in Jobs
The Central Government has recommended to all states that a 20 percent reservation be implemented for Agniveers in government job recruitments. In this regard, Union Home Minister Amit Shah has written a letter to all state governments. The letter suggested that this reservation be applied to recruitments for positions such as Forest Guards, Mining Guards, Police Constables, Firefighting Personnel, Prison Wardens, Special Police Officers, and the NDRF, among others. Those who joined the first batch of Agniveers are set to complete their four-year tenure in 2027.
