73.62 Crore Free Trips Under ‘Stree Shakti’
Amaravati: Transport Minister Mandipalli Ramprasad Reddy stated that 73.62 crore free bus trips have been undertaken in the state since the launch of the ‘Stree Shakti’ scheme up to June 18. He noted that bus occupancy increased from 69 percent to 92 percent following the introduction of the ‘Stree Shakti’ and ‘Divyanga Shakti’ schemes. He further revealed that measures are being taken to increase the number of electric buses in the RTC fleet and that e-bus services will be introduced in a phased manner.
