Hyderabad: A by-election for the Khairatabad constituency is now certain following the Supreme Court's dismissal of the petition filed by Danam Nagender regarding his disqualification. Speaker Prasad Kumar is expected to send a letter to the Election Commission stating that the Khairatabad seat has fallen vacant—in light of the High Court's verdict on the disqualification case against Danam Nagender—and requesting that a by-election be conducted for the seat. It is reported that the Speaker will send a letter to the Election Commission (EC) regarding this matter on Friday. This paves the way for the Khairatabad by-election.
