Car plunges into canal near Aithampudi in West Godavari district; four people missing.
West Godavari District: A tragic accident occurred early this morning (Sunday) near the Aithampudi sluice gates in Iragavaram Mandal. While returning from a wedding ceremony in Peravali, the car accidentally lost control and plunged into a canal. Four occupants of the car went missing following the incident. The missing individuals have been identified as Pothula Lakshmi Bhanu (18), Raja Ram (17), Nagireddy Dusvantha (18), and Nagabathula Sai Surya (19), while the youth who survived the accident has been identified as Matta Santhosh.
