Childhood weight.. Heart attack in adulthood?
Scientists have found that the body mass index at the age of ten, as well as the pattern of weight gain between the ages of 1 and 18, increase the risk of diabetes, cholesterol and heart disease in the future. This study says that 25% of the changes in a child’s weight are due to genes alone. Experts suggest that weight gain during childhood does not lead to obesity, but it is necessary to monitor the growth rate and take precautions.
