China is secretly upgrading nuclear weapons
The New York Times has stated that China is upgrading its nuclear weapons. Satellite images have revealed new nuclear sites near Xitang and Pingtang in Sichuan province. China is expected to have 600+ nuclear warheads by the end of 2024, and that number could reach 1,000 by 2030. Although this is less than the stockpiles of the United States (5000+) and Russia (5500+), experts say China's growth is worrying.
