Compensation of Rs. 50 thousand per acre should be given: Kavitha
Telangana: Jagruti president Kavitha has demanded that the government should give Rs. 50 thousand per acre to farmers whose crops were damaged due to the cyclone. As part of the Janambata Yatra in Karimnagar district, she inspected the Maktapalli grain purchase center. She commented that the compensation of Rs. 10 thousand per acre announced by the government is not enough for any corner. She wants to buy grain even if it is sprouted, moldy, or has high moisture content.
