Crimes against women have increased in the state.
The National Crime Records Bureau (NCRB) said that crimes against women have increased in Telangana. It said that 23,678 cases of crimes against women were registered in 2023. This number was revealed to be 22,066 in 2022 and 20,865 in 2021. It said that 1,56,737 cases were registered under IPC sections in 2023, while 1,51,849 were filed in 2022. IPC cases have also increased in Hyderabad. It said that 21,774 were registered in 2023, while there were 20,668 in 2022.
