India has signed a uranium deal worth ₹24 billion with Canada for nuclear energy. The country's Prime Minister McCarthy finalized it yesterday as part of his visit to India. With this, Canada will now supply uranium to India. India currently requires 1800 tonnes of uranium, while the country produces 600 tonnes annually. The deal will help India achieve its goal of reaching 100 gigawatts of nuclear power capacity by 2047.
