India's victory.. BJP counters Mamata Banerjee
West Bengal CM Mamata Banerjee, who congratulated the Indian women's team, was given a counter by the state's BJP. She posted on X that the struggle of the Indian players will be an inspiration for the coming generations. To which, 'You girls, come on. They told me to reach home by 8 o'clock. They are playing till 12 o'clock,' tweeted the BJP counter. Mamata's comments on a rape case in the past are known to have been controversial.
