Tensions between the US and Iran have escalated further. The Iranian military announced a reward of $30,000 (approximately ₹29 lakh) for capturing or killing a US soldier. Iran's state news agency, IRNA, reported that Iranian Army Chief Amir Hatami stated the reward would be increased to $60,000 if a woman carried out the act. Hatami announced that the $30,000 reward would be given for either capturing a US soldier and handing them over to Iran or for killing one.
