Is Venus Really This Slow?
Venus is the most peculiar planet in our solar system. Typically, for most planets, the time required to orbit the Sun (a year) is longer than the time required to rotate on their own axis (a day). However, Venus rotates on its axis at an extremely slow pace. Consequently, a full year (225 days) passes on Venus before a single day (243 days) is completed. This unique temporal dynamic continues to baffle astronomers.
