Today is the birth anniversary of Kaloji Narayana Rao, a popular poet and voice of the Telangana movement. The government is celebrating his birth anniversary as ‘Telangana Language Day’, as he has brought Telangana culture, language and people’s hardships to the world through his writings. He courageously spoke out against the tyrannical rule of the Nizam and the anarchy of the Razakars. Among his works, a collection of poems titled ‘Naa Godava’ reflects the struggles and aspirations of the people of Telangana. *Johar Kaloji
