Nikhat Zareen Advances as Lovlina Borgohain Crashes Out in World Boxing Championship
Liverpool: India had mixed results at the World Boxing Championships on Saturday. Two-time champion Nikhat Zareen led the way among star boxers, while Tokyo Olympics bronze medallist Lovlina Borgahin made it home. Nikhat defeated Jennifer Lazano (USA) 5-0 in the first round of the 51kg category to enter the pre-quarters. In the 75kg pre-quarters, top seed Lovlina lost 0-5 to Bursa Isildar (Turkey).
