No Revenue Loss With GST 2.0, Fiscal Deficit to be Controlled: Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman
New Delhi: Union Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman has made it clear that there will be no problem in the central government's revenue and fiscal deficit with the revision of GSTT rates. She said that the revenue deficit of Rs 48,000 crore estimated for the current financial year (2025-26) with the reduction in rates will be compensated by the increased consumption and GDP growth rate. With this, the government's target of limiting the fiscal deficit to 4.4 percent of GDP for this financial year will be met.
