Padma Awards should not be used before or after names: Bombay High Court
The Bombay High Court has ordered that 'Padma' awards should not be used before or after names. The court gave this verdict in the case of Padma awardee Sharad Hardikar. It clarified that the government awards these honors in recognition of contributions and social service in various fields, and they should be considered an honor, not a title. The Supreme Court had already given a ruling on this matter in the past, but some people are still disregarding it.
