Pakistan vs Afghanistan: Final match of tri-series on 7 September
In the Tri Series 2025, Pakistan defeated the UAE team by 31 runs. The bowlers and batsmen performed brilliantly for Pakistan. Batting first, Pakistan scored 171 runs. After this, the UAE team was reduced to just 140 runs. With the win, the Pakistani team has reached the final of the Tri Series 2025, where it will face the Afghanistan team on 7 September. Pakistan has so far played a total of four matches in the Tri Series 2025, winning three and is at the top of the points table.
Fakhar Zaman scored a half-century
The Pakistani team batted first and scored 171 runs in the stipulated 20 overs. Fakhar Zaman scored the highest 77 runs for the team. He hit 10 fours and two sixes in his innings. Apart from him, Mohammad Nawaz played a blistering innings in the last overs. He scored 37 runs in 27 balls, which included three fours and two sixes. It was because of these players that the Pakistani team was able to score big.
Haider Ali took the maximum two wickets for the UAE team. He gave only 17 runs in four overs and proved to be economical. The rest of the bowlers could not make much impact. Dhruv Parashar, Muhammad Rohid Khan and Junaid Siddiqui took one wicket each.
Abrar Ahmed did wonders
Alishan Sharafu scored the highest 68 runs for the UAE team. Apart from him, the rest of the batsmen could not stay on the crease. Captain Muhammad Wasim played an innings of 19 runs. Pakistani spinner Abrar Ahmed presented an example of excellent bowling. He took four wickets for 9 runs in his four overs. He broke the back of the UAE batting order. Because of him, the UAE batting collapsed like a pack of cards and the team could not chase the target.
