Pensions Cut for Them!
Telangana: A social audit conducted by the government revealed that pensions meant for the poor were being misused. In a pilot project conducted in 4 districts, 20,000 samples were collected, and it was found that 2,000 people were ineligible. It was identified that wealthy individuals, those under 50 years of age, people without disabilities receiving disability pensions, and others receiving pensions in the name of deceased individuals were illegally benefiting from the scheme. The government is preparing to cut pensions for all of them.
