Postpone elections in the wake of the cyclone
Punganur: BCY Party President Bode Ramachandra Yadav stated that a petition was filed in the High Court on Thursday, requesting the postponement of local body elections due to Cyclone Arnab. He mentioned that the High Court has accepted the petition and directed the Election Commission to submit its response by Friday. He argued that deploying government machinery for election duties—at a time when it should be fully utilized for cyclone relief operations—would deny justice to those affected by the storm.
