Removal of 'BitChat' from the App Store
Jack Dorsey, the app's creator and Twitter co-founder, announced that 'BitChat' is being removed from Apple's India App Store. He stated that Apple removed the offline messaging application in response to a demand from the Indian government. The decision was made because the government considers certain features of BitChat to be illegal in India. The Central Government had ordered the removal of this Bluetooth-based app back in July.
