Russian oil.. India pays in Chinese currency!
Russia seems to have taken a new approach to its oil business with India. Reuters has reported that Russian traders have asked India to make payments for purchases in the Chinese currency, the yuan. The IOC is reported to have paid for at least three Russian shipments in yuan. It seems that this is being done to avoid problems with dollars and UAE dirhams in the wake of Trump's tariffs.
