Smartphone ban for women in Rajasthan!
Jaipur, December 24: Smartphone usage has increased in recent times. Parents are increasingly using mobile phones at home, children are also increasing the same habit. This also affects their eyesight. Parents spend more time at home with their children than in the kitchen. So, from now on, girls will not be able to use smartphones, but they have been advised to use keypads.
This is not a rule for all, but the Rajasthan Panchayat has taken this decision. The Jalore Zilla Panchayat in Rajasthan has banned smartphones with cameras from women and girls of 15 villages. This ban will come into effect from January 26.
The decision was taken under the chairmanship of Sujan Ram Choudhary in Ghazipur village, which is in the Sundhamata list of Jalore Working Committee Choudhary Community. Villagers and panchayat members of the 15 villages are present in this.
According to the new rules, women are not allowed to carry smartphones even to attend public meetings, social events, weddings or even to attend funerals. Instead, they have been advised to use basic keypad mobile phones for communication. This restriction has been extended beyond open spaces, allowing the use of smartphones outside the home.
However, school girls are allowed to use smartphones for their education. After a discussion with all members and village panchayats, the community president Sujanaram Chowdhury said that it has been decided that keypad phones should be used for women and girls to make calls from 15 villages.
While school children are required to have mobile phones for their education, they are allowed to use them only at home. Sujanaram Chowdhury justified the decision by saying that this rule has been introduced as children are increasingly using mobile phones.
This rule applies to the villages of Ghazipur, Pawli, Kalda, Manojia Was, Rajikawas, Datlawas, Rajpura, Kodi, Sidrodi, Aldi, Ropsi, Khanadewal, Savidhar, Hatmi ki Dhani (Bhinmal), and Khanpur villages of Jalore composition.
