Director Harish Shankar revealed that the title of the film Ustad Bhagat Singh was initially thought to be ‘Bhavadeeyudu Bhagat Singh’. However, the name was leaked on social media and doubts arose from GenZs about what ‘Bhavadeeyudu’ meant. He said that he had decided on Ustad Bhagat Singh after thinking that if the name was not understandable, then how could it be? He said that he would understand why it was selected after watching the film. He also clarified once again that this film is not a remake.
