The Fight Will Not Cease Until an OBC Census Is Conducted
Hyderabad: Government Advisor V. Hanumantha Rao declared that their struggle would not end until an enumeration of OBCs (Other Backward Classes) is included in the national census. Demanding that the statistics regarding BCs be ascertained during the census, he staged a two-day hunger strike at his residence in Bagh Amberpet. On Sunday night, MLC Kodandaram, former Speaker Madhusudhana Chary, Jajula Srinivas Goud, and others offered lemon juice to 'VH' (Hanumantha Rao), bringing his hunger strike to an end. Speaking on the occasion, VH expressed regret that Prime Minister Modi did not address the demands of the BC community during his public meeting at the Parade Grounds.
