Trade deal finalized... Will the importance of Quad increase?
With the US-India trade deal, it seems that the political complexities between the two countries will also be resolved. The reason is that US Secretary of State Rubio mentioned the Quad during his meeting with External Affairs Minister Jaishankar. The Quad was formed by the US, India, Japan, and Australia to ensure security in the Indo-Pacific region and to contain China. While its importance diminished during the Trump 2.0 era due to the tariff disputes, it now appears to be regaining prominence.
