Virat Kohli trails, Babar leads! New T20I record
Babar Azam: Babar Azam returned to the Pakistani T20 team for the three-match T20 series against South Africa. He didn't perform well in the first two matches of the series, but in the final match, he scored a strong half-century and single-handedly led the team to victory. Pakistan won the T20 series against South Africa 2-1.
Babar Azam surpasses Virat Kohli
In the third T20 match against South Africa, Babar Azam scored 68 runs in 47 balls, including nine fours. With this, he became the player with the most fifty-plus scores in T20 International cricket, breaking Virat Kohli's world record. Babar has now scored 40 fifty-plus scores in T20I cricket, while Kohli has scored 39 fifty-plus scores and has also retired from T20 International cricket.

Pakistan achieved the target easily
Babar Azam could not even open his account in the first T20 match against South Africa. He then scored 11 runs in the second match and now in the third match, he emerged as a match-winner for the team. He also received the Player of the Match award for his innings of 68 runs. South Africa, batting first, scored 139 runs. Pakistan then easily achieved the target thanks to Babar's strong innings.

Babar Azam made his T20I debut for the Pakistani team in 2016. Since then, he has emerged as the team's biggest match-winner. He has scored a total of 4302 runs in T20I cricket, including 3 centuries and 37 half-centuries.
He has also captained the team, and under his captaincy, Pakistan reached the final of the T20 World Cup 2022, but England shattered their dream of winning the title. He has captained 85 T20I matches, winning 48 of them and losing 29.
