We will buy 51 lakh tonnes of grain: Nadendla
Tenali: ‘We have decided to purchase 51 lakh tonnes of grain, an unprecedented amount in the state,’ said Minister Nadendla Manohar. He spoke to reporters in Tenali, Guntur district on Thursday after visiting farmers whose crops were damaged due to the cyclone. ‘We will give a support price of Rs. 2,369 per quintal of grain. We have made changes so that the money is definitely deposited in the farmer’s account within 48 hours of purchase from the farmer,’ said Minister Manohar.
