Won't releasing water now lead to drinking water shortages later?
Hyderabad: Minister Jupally Krishna Rao questioned BRS leaders, asking if releasing the water currently stored in the Jurala project—before the arrival of floodwaters—would not result in drinking water shortages in the future. He stated that there is currently only 2 TMC of water in the Jurala project, which has been reserved to meet drinking water needs. He questioned why BRS leaders, if they truly cared so much about the Palamuru region, had failed to construct the additional Jurala reservoir and the Gattu reservoir.
