Xi Jinping lands in the US; Trump welcomes him personally
Chinese President Xi Jinping has arrived in the United States. President Donald Trump personally welcomed him at the airport as he arrived for a three-day official visit. It is extremely rare for US Presidents to personally welcome foreign leaders at the airport. Xi Jinping arrived at Joint Base Andrews in Maryland accompanied by his wife, Peng Liyuan. There, Trump and his wife, Melania Trump, welcomed the couple.
