Afghan borders closed.. A kg of tomatoes in Pakistan costs Rs. 600
It is known that the Afghan-Pakistan borders were recently closed in the wake of tensions. Due to this, the prices of fruits, vegetables, wheat, rice, sugar, and medicines in both countries are skyrocketing. In particular, the prices of tomatoes in Pakistan have increased 5 times and are reaching 600 Pakistani rupees per kg. The prices of apples have also increased drastically. Business sources there said that trade has come to a standstill and the two countries are losing $1M per day.
