Is the Center's decision a key one regarding 'Agniveer'?
It seems that the Center is going to take a key decision on 'Agniveer'. It seems that the current retention rate is expected to be increased from 25% to 75%. It is reported that it will be discussed in the Army Commanders' meeting starting today in Jaisalmer (Rajasthan). Implementation of Mission Sudarshan Chakra and increasing coordination between the three services are on the meeting agenda. The 4-year tenure of the first batch of Agniveers will end in 2026.
