Snowfall in Himachal: Manali and Lahaul-Spiti wrapped in a white sheet
Shimla: Fresh snowfall occurred in the higher reaches of Lahaul and Spiti district and Manali in Himachal Pradesh, bringing down the minimum temperature, officials said on Wednesday. The snowfall has brought cheers to tourism stakeholders in Manali and Lahaul-Spiti, as they expect an increase in tourist arrivals.
What will the weather be like tomorrow?
According to the Meteorological Center, Shimla, light rain and snowfall are expected in the higher reaches of the state today and tomorrow, October 23rd. Light snowfall is expected in the higher reaches of Lahaul-Spiti, Kinnaur, Chamba, and Kullu districts. Very light rain is expected in Kangra, Mandi, Shimla, Solan, and Sirmaur districts. However, clear weather is expected throughout the state from October 24th to 28th.
Temperature in Tabo, Lahaul-Spiti, dropped to minus 0.7 degrees Celsius.
The Shimla Meteorological Office reported that light rain occurred in some parts of the state. Manali recorded 12 mm of rain, Bharmour 11.5 mm, Keylong 6 mm, Bhuntar 3.6 mm, Seobagh 2.4 mm, Palampur 2 mm, Kukumseri 1.2 mm. Tabo in tribal Lahaul and Spiti district recorded a low of minus 0.7 degrees Celsius, while Kukumseri recorded 0.4 degrees Celsius, Keylong 1.8 degrees Celsius and Kalpa 4.9 degrees Celsius.
