Kyiv: Russia launched another major, widespread attack on Ukraine on Wednesday using drones and missiles. Several key Ukrainian energy installations were destroyed and at least six people were killed. Ukrainian officials said 18 people were also injured in the attacks. Russia bombed throughout the night Ukraine's Energy Minister stated that Russia launched a series of large-scale attacks on Ukraine's energy infrastructure overnight, which continued until early Wednesday morning. The aim of these attacks was to destroy Ukraine's energy system before winter. According to Ukrainian officials, the attack disrupted power supply across the country, but repairs were underway and efforts were being made to restore power as soon as possible. Zelensky's Strong Reaction Ukrainian President Vladimir Zelensky has strongly reacted to the Russian attack. He said that Russia still wants to prolong the war because it still doesn't feel sufficient pressure on itself. He said that the attacks have caused extensive damage in various regions, including Kyiv, Zaporizhia, Odessa, Chernihiv, Kirovohrad, Poltava, Vinnytsia, Cherkasy, and Sumy. Zelensky called on the European Union, the United States, and G7 countries to impose new sanctions on Russia.
