13.7 percent of homes in the country do not have internet
Despite the rapid development of digital services in the country, these benefits are not reaching everyone. One in every 7 homes in the country is still without internet access. Approximately 13.7% of families do not have online access. However, metro cities have become almost completely digital. Several states in the eastern and southern regions are lagging behind. This gap is causing concern at a time when the country is moving towards AI, 5G, and digital governance.
