Fast bowlers dominated the proceedings on the opening day of the second Test between Australia and Bangladesh on Saturday. Australian pacer Mitchell Starc (6/12) wreaked havoc with a six-wicket haul, followed by a menacing spell from Bangladesh pacer Shoriful (6/35). Consequently, 18 wickets fell on the very first day of the Test. Bangladesh, batting first after losing the toss, collapsed for just 64 runs in their first innings. Australia then reached 165/8 by the close of play on day one.
