7,400 Naxalites Arrested in Seven Years: Centre
The Central government informed the Lok Sabha that left-wing extremist-inspired violent incidents in the country have decreased by 88 percent over the past decade and a half. It stated that more than 7,400 Naxalites have been arrested in seven years, and 5,880 have surrendered. Minister of State for Home Affairs Nityanand Rai informed the House that in 2025, security forces killed 364 Naxalites, arrested 1,022, and 2,337 surrendered.
