Recently, the franchise announced that it has signed Zimbabwe's pace sensation, Muzarabani, as his replacement. He performed exceptionally well in the recent T20 World Cup, taking 13 wickets and playing a pivotal role in helping Zimbabwe reach the Super-8 stage. Overall, he has claimed 90 wickets in 80 T20 Internationals. To accept this IPL offer, Muzarabani opted to forgo his contract with the Pakistan Super League.
