Air India requests ₹10,000 crore in aid
Air India was in deep trouble after the Boeing-787 crashed in Ahmedabad. More than 260 people died in the accident. This has made it difficult to operate services due to strict regulations. Regional tensions have increased the distance of international air routes and increased the cost burden. Air India has asked its owners Tatasons and Singapore Airlines to provide ₹10,000 crore to help it overcome these.
