AP High Court Appoints Advocate Commissioner to Inspect Police Stations CCTV Compliance
Amaravati: In the wake of the SDPOs (DSPs) submitting a report certifying that CCTV cameras have been installed in police stations in the state so that the entire station is visible, the High Court has issued orders appointing advocate MRK Chakravarthy as the Advocate Commissioner to visit the field level and ascertain the facts. It has ordered the Advocate Commissioner to visit the six stations suggested by the petitioner and examine whether CCTV cameras have been installed there in accordance with the Supreme Court guidelines? Or not? and submit a report.
