China, Pakistan call for declaring Balochistan Liberation Army a terrorist organisation
China and Pakistan have submitted a joint bid to the UN Security Council to designate the Balochistan Liberation Army and its wing, the Majeed Brigade, as terrorist organizations. They have said that these organizations are carrying out attacks from the sanctuaries of Afghanistan and have demanded steps to stop them. The US last month designated them as foreign terrorist organizations and said that they were involved in the Karachi Airport and Zafar Train hijackings.
