Bengal Elections... Congress to contest alone!
With the elections approaching in West Bengal, the Congress party has taken a sensational decision. Breaking its alliance with the Left parties, which lasted for two decades, it will contest alone for the first time since 2006. It will field candidates in all 294 constituencies. This decision was taken after a meeting of state leaders with Congress President Kharge and senior leader Rahul Gandhi. They informed the high command that the party is not strengthening in the state due to alliances.
