BPL Issues Legal Notice to Ramagundam MLA
British Physical Laboratories (BPL)—the company that halted the construction of a power plant in Ramagundam midway—has issued a legal notice to Makansingh Raj Thakur, the Congress Party MLA representing Ramagundam in Peddapalli district and President of the Peddapalli District Congress Committee (DCC). A Supreme Court advocate issued the notice to Raj Thakur on behalf of the BPL company. Meanwhile, political parties and farmers have been demanding the return of lands acquired from farmers, citing the fact that the construction of the power plant never materialized.
