Brisbane Olympics Emblem Unveiled
The city of Brisbane is set to host the 2032 Olympics and Paralympics. Organizers formally unveiled the emblems for these games on Monday. A rare Australian bird species—the pink cockatoo—was selected as the Olympic emblem. The emblem features the head of the cockatoo, with its coloring designed to resemble the Olympic and Paralympic flames; its shape reflects the host state, Queensland. Meanwhile, a yellow-crested cockatoo was chosen as the emblem for the Paralympics.
