Civil Services Candidates' Marks: Paper-wise Breakdown
The Central Information Commission (CIC) has recommended that the Department of Personnel and Training (DoPT) reinstate the practice of publishing paper-wise marks of candidates selected in the Civil Services Examination. The Commission noted that there were no official records at the DoPT regarding the decision to discontinue this practice from 2018 onwards. It asserted that details of the marks should be made available to ensure transparency and impartiality in the selection process and to enable candidates to assess their own performance.
