Command Control Centre established for El Niño
In view of the El Niño phenomenon, the government has established a Command Control Centre (CCC) at the Integrated Call Centre premises in Gannavaram, Krishna district, to provide timely advice and relief measures to farmers across the state. Rajasekhar, Special Chief Secretary of the Agriculture Department, and Director Manazir Jilani inspected the centre on Tuesday. CCC staff informed the senior officials that, in addition to answering calls from farmers via the toll-free number 155251, they are issuing satellite-based alerts.
