Customs Duty Relief for Industries in SEZs
New Delhi: The Central Government has provided significant relief to industries operating within the country's Special Economic Zones (SEZs). It has temporarily reduced the customs duty levied on products that these industries sell domestically. Industries located in SEZs have been facing numerous difficulties due to the uncertainty surrounding exports, stemming from U.S. tariffs and the ongoing conflict in the Middle East. In light of these circumstances, the Centre has announced concessions on customs duties. All industries situated within SEZs are primarily dependent on exports.
