Demands to shut non-vegetarian shops in Delhi during Navratri are rising. Jangpura MLA Tarvinder Singh Marwah wrote to CM Rekha Gupta, urging a ban on meat sales from Sept 22–Oct 1. Councillor Ramkishore Sharma appealed to Shakurpur shopkeepers to close from Sept 22–Oct 2. Shakur Basti MLA Karnail Singh sought a halt on non-veg sales at Domino’s, KFC, and McDonald’s.
