Demand to Increase Junior Doctors' Stipend by 30%
Guntur: The Andhra Pradesh Junior Doctors' Association (APJUDA) has appealed to the state government to increase the stipend for junior doctors pursuing their education in government teaching hospitals. Association leaders requested a 30% hike in the stipends currently paid to house surgeons, medical PG students, super-specialty students, and senior residents. They pointed out that although the previous Health Minister had promised on three occasions to raise the stipend, the assurance has not yet been implemented.
