Experts state that as the prevalence of PCOS (Polycystic Ovary Syndrome) increases among women, it is often accompanied by a gum condition known as 'periodontitis.' They warn that if left untreated, this condition can lead to the loosening of teeth. PCOS leads to an imbalance of estrogen and progesterone in women. Consequently, the immune defense in the gums weakens, making them susceptible to infections. Therefore, it is advised that consulting a doctor will result in recommendations for appropriate medication, alongside necessary changes to dietary habits.
