Deploy Central Forces
Amaravati: YCP State General Secretary Lella Appi Reddy filed a petition in the High Court requesting directives to the State Election Commission and the Union Ministry of Home Affairs to deploy central armed forces during the local body elections. He sought orders ensuring that the forces act in accordance with the instructions of the independent election observers appointed by the State Election Commission. The petition alleged that the state police are acting in favor of the ruling party and filing illegal cases against opposition party workers.
